Article 1. Name, Objectives, Geographic Area
Section 1. Name
The name of the club shall be: Mastiff Club of Western Canada.

Section 2. Geographic Area
The Geographic Area shall include British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Section 3. Objectives
The objectives of the Club shall be:
a) Protection of the breed while encouraging and promoting the selective breeding of quality, purebred Mastiffs conforming to the CKC breed standard.
b) To encourage the organization of Specialty Shows, Boosters, and Obedience Trials, under the rules of the Canadian Kennel Club.
c) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed, and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and obedience trials. To provide for the welfare of the breed through a program of Mastiff Rescue and continuing education.

Section 1. Officers
The officers of the Mastiff Club of Western Canada shall be the President, the Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, Prairies Director and British Columbia Director.

Section 2. Power
The Club shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder of residue from dues or donations to the Club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual. No officer of the club shall be permitted to borrow in the name of the Club.
